About Me

Hello - I'm Jeffrey Smith, and I'm a fifth-year student at Drexel University studying environmental science. I created this website because I wanted to share my love of this world's biodiversity, as well as some of my own conservation efforts towards that end.

My first co-op at Drexel was with the Gonder lab under PhD. candidate Tyler Andres-Bray, where through our work with the Ganga Station camera trap array, I became quite familiar with the wildlife at Mbam and Djerem national park.

I recently finished my second and third co-ops at the Academy of Natural Sciences as a macroinvertebrate tech with the PCER, where I spent a lot of time out in the field collecting freshwater organics, then in the lab identifying them.

I don't have many professional photos of myself, but what I do have is a lot of pictures of my cat, which I hope you'll enjoy in their place.
